About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and hard working person with high expectations of themselves and the pupils they work with, to join our school team as a SEN teaching assistant. To provide support to a pupil with additional needs in the Early Years classrooms.

Days and hours: Monday - Friday 1pm until 3.15pm. Although initially a fixed-term contract, this position is linked to funding and may be extended.

The successful candidate will:

• Have experience of working with children with SEND in Early Years.
• Demonstrate nurture and understanding of individual children’s needs.
• Support pupil’s within the classroom to access the environment and provide 1:1 interventions (in collaboration with SENCo and class teacher) to develop social skills, communication and language.
• Monitor pupil’s responses to learning and modify activities alongside the class teacher.

Pay scale for the role is dependent on experience. The start date for the successful candidate would be once all safer recruitment checks are complete.
