Do you want to make a difference to young people and give something back to the local community?
St Bartholomew’s is a hard-working, caring and friendly school at the heart of the community of Wigginton. The school relies on the skills, commitment and time generously given by the local community to ensure the highest possible standards of education and personal development for its pupils. We are currently looking for individuals who are keen to support the leadership of the school, to help it continue to thrive and provide outstanding educational opportunities for its pupils.
As a Governor, you will be able to:
- make a valuable contribution to the community and the education of its children
- support and challenge the school so that it improves outcomes for pupils and staff
- bring your unique experiences, perspectives and insights into decision-making in the interests of the school community
- learn new skills
No experience is required, just the necessary desire, character and ability to support the school to continue to deliver excellence for its pupils. Training will be provided. We are particularly interested to hear from people with financial management experience, however experience in areas such as HR, education, data analysis and law are all useful to a school. Soft skills such as leadership, communication, and problem solving are also great additions which can enhance the Governing Body.
