Longmeadow Primary School is a school at the heart of its community and a school on a journey to success. We believe that the children at Longmeadow deserve the very best start in life and a great education should be every pupil's right. Children only get one chance at education and our mission is to ensure that every pupil at Longmeadow develops the skills and resilience necessary for a successful and happy future.
We currently have two exciting opportunities for Community Governors to support our school.
As a Community Governor, you'll play a vital role in shaping the school's future. We have a recently appointed an experienced Headteacher who is driving rapid improvements in the school. The newly formed Senior Leadership team are ambitious for the school and excited about the changes that are being made.
We are looking for Governors who will help continue our school improvement journey by:
Championing Longmeadow School.
Supporting the Headteacher and leadership team.
Ensuring excellent educational provision and wellbeing for all children.
Bringing their skills and experience from wider industry.
While we particularly welcome applications from individuals with experience in education, HR, legal, or finance, we value a diversity of voices, backgrounds and perspectives.
No prior experience is necessary as our supportive board offers a comprehensive training and support package to equip you with the skills and knowledge you need to contribute to sustaining and improving our school performance.
Being a governor is a vital role and one that provides real satisfaction. You will have the opportunity to develop skills in strategic management and to work with other governors and staff to improve Longmeadow Primary School and make a real difference to pupils lives.
