School Cleaner

About the role

We are looking for a reliable, conscientious and hardworking individual to join our friendly cleaning team. The hours are Monday to Friday from 3.30 to 6 pm (12.5 hours per week) during term time, plus a further 3 weeks worked across the Christmas, Easter, and summer to get the school ready for the next term. The role starts in February.

The successful candidates will take pride in their work and deliver a consistently high standard of cleanliness within the school.

Main duties include:

• Daily cleaning of allocated areas to specified standards and cleaning schedule.  Areas to clean include classrooms, general communal areas and toilets.
• Safe operation of industrial cleaning equipment and materials – training will be provided.
• Following Health & Safety regulations (COSHH) and reporting hazards to Site Manager immediately.

Salary - as this is a part time role the actual salary is approximately £7,200 pa or £12.26 per hour.
