School Chef
32.5 hours a week, 7:30am - 2:00pm
H3 (£23,500) to H5 (£25,545) Full Time Equivalent;
Actual Salary, pro-rata for term time only hours, is £17260 to £18,762
Due to staff retirement, we are looking for someone who has a passion for food and is a creative cook; wanting to deliver consistently, high-quality meals for our children and staff.
What we are looking for:
We are looking to appoint a committed School Chef, with a passion for delivering high quality nutritious meals. This is an exciting opportunity to cook in a primary school within a supportive community.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook nutritious, balanced meals for our children and staff, considering dietary restrictions and allergies.

Plan menus in collaboration with the Catering Team within budget; adhering to the school's food policy.

Be responsible for delivering a good quality service and ensuring meals are presented and served in an attractive way.

Engage with children and staff to promote healthy eating habits.

Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness and food safety in the kitchen.
