At St Michael’s, we are seeking to appoint a caretaker/site manager for our school to begin working next February when our long standing and dedicated caretaker will be retiring. In return, we can offer you a welcoming, dedicated staff team, engaged parents and supportive governors.
Visitors often comment on the positive atmosphere in the school and particularly how well-behaved, happy, and hard-working our children are. Being a church school, means any decision made comes from a place of love for the whole child. We are a school for families with a Christian faith, different faiths and also those with no faith who encourage our children to be outward looking but reflective, knowledgeable and curious.
The job encompasses a range of skills which can be found in the job description, although this is not a comprehensive statement of procedures and tasks but sets out the main expectations of the school in relation to the post holder’s professional responsibilities. We would ensure any successful candidate was able to spend transition time shadowing our current caretaker before his departure to ensure a smooth transition.
