About the role
The Governors of Ponsbourne St Mary’s Primary School are seeking to appoint a highly organised, professional and reliable person to join our team as a part-time School Business Manager from March 2025. This is offered as a permanent post for 14 hours per week. We are a popular village school with four mixed-age classes.

We are looking for someone who:
- Is well-organised, calm and can meet deadlines;
- Can prioritise and work with independence;
- Is able to cope with the busy and varied role of a SBM in a small primary school;
- Can support our Christian ethos and values;
- Can establish and maintain good relationships and work well as part of a small team;
- Is willing to support general admin from time to time in our school office;
- Is flexible and ready to embrace the unique rewards and challenges of working in a small school;
- Has high standards of professional conduct and personal integrity.
