RECEPTION TEACHER AND EYFS LEADER

Salary: MPS 1-6/UPS 1-3 plus TLR 2a (currently £3,214)

Reporting to: Deputy Headteachers/SLT

Job Purpose:

We are looking to appoint an inspirational, enthusiastic and dedicated Reception class teacher and EYFS phase lead to complement our ambitious and successful team. As EYFS Leader, your role will be to act as the lead professional for Early Years, ensuring effective provision is developed and that all staff in the Foundation Stage are effective practitioners. Your responsibilities include:

Being part of the school’s Senior Leadership Team

Coordinating and monitoring the weekly and medium-term planning of staff within the foundation stage

Tracking progress and attainment of learners

Ensuring the availability of advice to all members of the foundation stage for consistency

Attending meetings and lead staff CPD as appropriate

Acting as line manager for performance management

The school welcomes teachers of high professional standard and shares the responsibility with each teacher for continual review and the development of expertise.

All teachers make a valuable contribution to the school’s development and, therefore, to the progress of all pupils. All teachers, except those who are newly qualified, will have a lead responsibility for a curriculum area across the whole school and will be supported in that role by their line manager.
