About the role
We are looking for an outstanding teacher to join our team at Hertford Heath Primary School & Nursery in the spring 2025 term.
We are proud of our wonderful village school, where the staff are passionate about providing the best outcomes for all children, through offering a broad and balanced curriculum; and most importantly, our children are excited to come to school.
At Hertford Heath Primary School & Nursery we have a friendly and happy staff team. We take the well-being of our staff seriously and offer a supportive, but dynamic working environment. We have an excellent reputation within the local community and polite, focused and very well-behaved children.
The ideal candidate should have a clear vision for teaching and learning within the EYFS, be proficient in English and maths, and demonstrate the ability to use research-based evidence to inform and reflect upon their teaching practices. We aim to prepare our pupils for lifelong learning by nurturing resilience, respect, responsibility, curiosity, communication and caring.
We are looking for someone who:
- has high expectations about what children can achieve and has the subject knowledge to enable children to rise to these
- can demonstrate excellent experience teaching within EYFS with in-depth knowledge and understanding of the EYFS and primary curriculum.
- has a solid commitment to raising achievement and can excite, inspire and motivate pupils and staff to achieve their best.
- has excellent interpersonal and communication skills and is committed to collaborative working, leading, and motivating a team.
- makes learning engaging and motivating for all learners
- has the skills to meet the needs of individuals, raise standards and facilitate an effective transition from the EYFS to the National Curriculum
- will share our school vision and demonstrate commitment to our continued school improvement drive
- able to manage planning and assessment effectively to raise standards.
In return for bringing the above, we can offer:
- Well behaved children with excellent learning behaviour who are keen to learn about their world
- Parents and carers who work in collaboration with us to support their children
- A supportive staff team including leaders and governors committed to helping you learn and develop
Successful candidates will be asked to teach a lesson during the interview.
Start date: ideally 1st January 2025 but will delay if necessary for the right candidate.
If you have a passion for motivating and inspiring both children and adults, you could be what we are looking for. We are focused on continued professional development and building on individuals’ strengths to best deliver and enhance the curriculum. We are fully supportive of investment in CPD to enable our teachers to take their careers in the direction they would like it to go.
Visits to the school are warmly welcomed, please contact our school office to make appointment. We are committed to safeguarding children and young people. All post holders are subject to a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service check.
