About the role

We seek to appoint a dynamic and enthusiastic geography teacher for a unique opportunity to work in a hospital-based independent day school for 38 young people aged 8-18 who have eating disorders. We are part of Rhodes Wood Hospital, an eating disorder CAHMS unit, whereby students will continue their academic studies with us during their hospital stay.

The ability to teach Psychology at Key Stage 5 is essential. This is a part-time post, working two days a week.

If you are looking for a new challenge and are committed to making a difference for young people, this opportunity could be for you. You will need to be flexible, kind, compassionate, patient and enjoy working with a small team.

We would like to hear if you can make a difference in a unique, creative, and exciting setting with a 'family feel' like ours.

We can offer the following:

  • Students who enjoy learning and want to come to school to keep on track with their peers
  • A dedicated, enthusiastic staff team that wants the best for the students.
  • A supportive Governing Body
  • A well-resourced school
  • A salary package commensurate with the size of the school
  • Free lunchtime meal
  • Private Pension

We encourage you to visit the school. Alternatively, you can contact us at 01707 655344 or email stuffnell@elysiumeducation.co.uk, Sharon Tuffnell, School Administrator.

The closing date is Monday 1st July 2024, at 9:00 a.m. Interviews will take place that week.
