About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Preschool Manager to join our vibrant and nurturing preschool in Bushey, Hertfordshire. You will play a pivotal role in delivering outstanding early years education and care, leading a passionate team, and ensuring the highest standards of care and learning for children aged 2-5 years.
This is a term time only position, 33.75 hours per week, five days a week, 38 weeks per year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Management: Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the preschool, ensuring a safe, stimulating, and supportive environment for children and staff.
- Staff Development: Oversee the training, and ongoing professional development of staff, providing clear direction and leadership.
- Curriculum Management: Develop and implement a creative, child-centred curriculum in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), promoting holistic development.
- Safeguarding & Compliance: Ensure the preschool adheres to all Ofsted requirements, safeguarding policies, health and safety standards, and legislative regulations.
- Parent & Community Engagement: Build positive relationships with parents, carers, and the local community, providing regular communication and support.
- Ofsted Inspections: Prepare and lead the preschool in all Ofsted inspections, maintaining and improving high standards to achieve 'Good' or 'Outstanding' ratings.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Level 3 or higher qualification in Early Years Education (such as NVQ, CACHE, or equivalent).
- Proven experience in managing a preschool or nursery, with a strong understanding of the EYFS framework.
- Paediatric First Aid and Safeguarding qualifications (up to date or willing to renew).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
