Playworker

About the role

We are looking for fun, energetic Playworkers to join our friendly, experienced and well-established team working at Knutsford Primary Academy.

• Breakfast Club – Monday to Thursday
• After School Club – Monday to Thursday (2)

To start September 2024 or as soon as possible.

As an Out of School Club Playworker, you will:

Have a positive attitude towards young children and enjoy working with them.

Understand the Early Years Foundation Stage requirements for wraparound care.

Work in a team to provide a secure, caring space for children aged 4 to 11.

Set up before and pack away after Club sessions.

Help to prepare and serve a sit-down snack to children.

Supervise, care for, speak with and listen to children while they play.

Requirements

Childcare qualifications and experience are desirable but not essential. There is a probationary period during which you must complete a variety of training courses including Safeguarding, Food Hygiene, Health & Safety and Paediatric First Aid. You must have the right to work in the UK and be able to pass enhanced background checks.

These roles are covered by the Childcare Act 2006 and are subject to receipt of a satisfactory enhanced DBS disclosure for a regulated activity and reference checks.

Hours and Pay

These roles are permanent, part-time, term-time at Breakfast Club and/or After School Club with overtime available at holiday clubs.

Hours of work:        Breakfast Club – 07:15 to 09:00

                                After School Club – 14:45 or 15:00 to 18:00

Hourly rate of pay:   £12.50 to £13.50

5.6 weeks (pro rata) paid holiday. Pension Scheme. Uniform provided.
