About the role

The Phoenix Centre is DSPL4’s Primary Support Base (PSB), a service available to primary schools within the Borough of Broxbourne. The service offers tier 3 and 4 support and is led by Rivers ESC. This service aims to provide an inclusive model of support for children with social, emotional, and behavioural needs through intensified outreach and short-term schooling within our purpose-built building. We are based at the KS4 site of Rivers ESC in Hoddesdon.

We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our talented support staff team. The support worker will work directly with children and young people receiving respite from education settings in the borough of Broxbourne and deliver SEMH outreach to Primary settings within the partnership. This position will involve traveling to schools across DSPL4 (Borough of Broxbourne) and therefore applicants must have a clean driving license and access to their vehicle.

This will be a permanent contract at salary grade H6 for 37 hours per week (term time only plus 1 week to attend INSET & Twilight training).  

Actual pro rota H6 salary range: starts from £23,380 based on working 5 days full-time hours. 

Working Hours and Days: Monday to Friday 8.30 am to 4.00 pm.

Full-time hours are ideal, but we can consider 9.00 am to 3.00 pm.
