About the role

We are seeking a positive, enthusiastic, dedicated and experienced Learning Support Assistant to join our Brookland team to support a child with special educational needs.

The ideal candidate will nurture and support the child ensuring a compassionate approach to their individual needs and qualities.

You must be able to use your skills, experience and initiative when working with the child on a one to one basis but you will be supported by the class teacher, SENDCo and other professionals to implement this support.

Working days are Monday to Friday and working hours will be 8:45am until 1.15pm. Pay rate is H2, dependent on experience. Salary is worked out on a pro-rata basis. This will be a fixed term contract in line with the child’s needs and funding and will come to an end when the funding ends or the child moves to another setting, whichever occurs first.

The position will be supporting the child in and outside the classroom. In addition, you will be expected to take on a daily lunchtime play leader role.
