Level 3 Apprentice Learning Support Assistant’s required

Salary: £6.40 per hour

Hours: 08:30-16:00 (35 hours) Term Time + INSET days (5 days per year) - Non-negotiable

Contract: 15 months

Colnbrook is a school for children aged 4 - 11, who have a wide range of learning needs and we are looking for enthusiastic Apprentice Learning Support Assistant’s to be part of our dedicated team. This opportunity would be suitable for anyone interested in special education and working with pupils with a range of differing needs.

Colnbrook is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.  This post is subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure and we will:

  • Request 2 references prior to interview (unless applicants specify otherwise). These must include your last 2 posts and/or last 2 positions working with children.
  • Carry out a new DBS check prior to the start date.
  • Require the successful applicant to register with the DBS Update Service each year. Registration lasts for 1 year and costs £13.00 per year. https://www.gov.uk/dbs-update-service
  • Require you to complete both a Criminal Record Self-declaration form and a Disqualification Declaration form at your interview.
  • Require you to disclose any previous criminal convictions or cautions with your application in a sealed envelope marked 'disclosure'. This will not be opened unless your application is shortlisted.
  • For candidates that are short-listed for an interview, an online search will be carried out to identify any incidents or issues that have happened, and are publicly available online, which we might want to explore with the candidate at interview.
