Learning Support Practitioner for a SEN Pupil

About the role

We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated learning support practitioner, preferably with SEN experience, who would love the opportunity to make an impact on the teaching and learning at Northgate school. You will require patience and flexibility and be committed to helping children develop as independent andconfident individuals.

We are ideally looking for someone to work 8.40am - 1.30pm 3 mornings per week, term time only.The post is fixed term until July 2025 as it is dependent on funding, or if the pupil(s) leaves the school before then the contract will end.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and will be able to work closely with theclass teacher, the SENDCo, the SEN team and external advisors, as well as being confident to workindependently, as required. You should be keen to learn, be able to work on your own initiative, and carry outadvice consistently. You will be passionate about enabling every child to fulfil their potential andcommitted to supporting our teachers.

Candidates who are innovative, really understand the children, help to engage them in learning, haveexcellent behaviour management strategies and who are willing to take part in the overall life of the schoolare strongly encouraged to apply.

Salary will be paid on the National Joint Council Pay range H3 (pro rata) depending upon experience.

The successful candidate will have a GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths and a high standard of written and spoken English.
