About the role

Our children are looking for a caring, patient and committed Learning Support Assistant to join our friendly and busy primary school.

You will be supporting an individual child, helping them to engage in learning through play, communicate with others and have a great time! The post offers 17.5 hours per week, Mon – Fri, term time only. It could be morning or afternoon to suit the appointed candidate. In the first instance the post is fixed term until end of July 2025, but with opportunity to extend beyond.

We are passionate about achieving the best outcomes for our children and need someone who is equally passionate, kind, creative and with a positive 'can-do' attitude. The post would suit someone who understands how to support the learning, behavioural and social needs of young children who need additional support, or someone with a strong commitment to develop these skills.

We can offer you:

  • A welcoming school with enthusiastic children who have positive attitudes to their learning and who care for each other.
  • A friendly, caring, and dedicated staff team, committed to school improvement and working together to bring joy and learning to our children.
  • A commitment to your professional development.
  • An attractive, well-maintained, and well-resourced school.
  • Supportive governors and parents.

We are looking for candidates who:

  • Are warm, caring, patient and place the needs of the children first.
  • Are self-motivated.
  • Have excellent communication skills.
  • Are committed and passionate about learning – for children and for themselves.
  • Have high expectations of behaviour as well as achievement.
  • Are flexible and enjoy working as part of a team.

All Saints Primary School is committed to safeguarding children and young people and all post holders are subject to a satisfactory enhanced DBS and references.

If you would like to arrange a school visit or have further questions, get in touch for an informal chat with the SENCo or Headteacher to discuss the post; please contact our school office on 01279 836006 or email admin@allsaints.herts.sch.uk. We look forward to hearing from you!
