About the role
We have a vacancy for a Learning Support Assistant to work closely with a child with additional needs. Ideally, we are looking for someone with experience of working with children with special educational needs.
The ideal candidate will be friendly, adaptable, independent, resilient and pro-active and will be committed to making a real difference to children’s lives, particularly those children who may be disadvantaged.
We are looking for someone to fill this full-time post as soon as possible. However, the starting date could be delayed until February 2025, and we would be prepared to consider part-time, for the right candidate.
If you are successful in your application, you will be joining a friendly, hard-working and supportive staff team, who are united in their aim to give all children the best possible primary school education.
In July 2024, St Michael’s was judged as ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted. The Ofsted report will give you a flavour of the school, but we warmly welcome visits to the school so that you can see our happy, vibrant school for yourself.
If you would like further information or would like a brief tour of the school, please telephone or email the school office and we would be delighted to show you around. Please also look at our school website to find out more about our happy and successful school.
St Michael's Primary School is committed to safeguarding children and young people and, therefore, the successful applicant will be subject to online searches, suitable references, medical and DBS checks in accordance with Herts County guidelines.
