The governors of Summercroft Primary School wish to appoint a Learning Support Assistant to support children with learning and SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs. The contract is fixed term as it is linked to funding for the children. The successful candidate will be reliable, enthusiastic and committed to children's learning. They must be able to demonstrate the ability to use their own initiative, able to work and follow advice from a wide range of professionals and have excellent behaviour management skills.

We are seeking applicants who have experience in working with children with learning and SEMH needs and who can contribute effectively within the class team as well as being confident to work independently. An interest in the specific difficulties, ability to take initiative and a flexible approach within the classroom would be advantageous. Being confident with managing behaviour in a calm and consistent manner and employing a variety of approaches with a sense of humour are also important aspects. 

We are recruiting for a position that is 28.75 hours per week across 5 days.
