About the role
We are looking for a new member of staff to join our KS2 team. Our KS2 team is a rewarding and exciting place to work. We pride ourselves on ensuring our children enjoy their learning and work hard to plan exciting opportunities and lots of first hand experiences both indoor and outdoors. As well as supporting the academic and social progress of our children, part of your role will be to lead learning for groups and individuals under the direction of the teacher. We are looking for someone who can work a minimum of 3 days to include Monday and Friday.
Eastbury Farm is a diverse community school of 345 children (including our nursery). We have beautiful and extensive grounds, including our own Forest School area. Our children are extremely well behaved, love learning and are at the heart of everything we do. We are looking for someone who is child centred, inclusive and who wants to make a difference to every child. You would be working within a supportive team, with relevant training to enable you to provide the best support to our teachers and our children. We value all our staff and work hard to make Eastbury Farm a happy place to work. We have been awarded our Eco-Schools Green Flag award and we have our set of school values that we focus on each month. It is important to us that any new member of staff supports this ethos.
We are hoping to employ our new member of staff to work the full school day. The proposed hours will be 8:30 to 3:15 with a thirty minute break for lunch. We may have flexibility on working hours for the right candidate in order to fit in with child care arrangements. We warmly welcome prospective candidates to visit us and see our lovely school for yourself. Please get in touch to arrange a mutually convenient visit.
The Governors and staff of Eastbury Farm are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and visitors to share this commitment. Appointment to this post is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check (DBS) as well as other pre-appointment checks, including an online check, outlined in Keeping Children Safe in Education (September 2022).
Candidates must ensure that all gaps in employment are accounted for when completing the application form - including unemployment, travelling and being at home to raise children.
