About the role
Prae Wood Primary & Nursery School is a successful and thriving two-form entry school situated to the north of St. Albans. We have a dedicated, inspirational and enthusiastic team of staff who are fully committed to providing children with the very best learning opportunities both in and out of the classroom. We have a strong whole school team ethos and we are committed to developing individuals through providing wide-ranging CPD opportunities. We promote learning beyond the National Curriculum, providing a creative and challenging curriculum focused on nurture and wellbeing as well as developing resilience and independence through encouraging a growth mindset as we believe this builds valuable learning skills for life.
We are seeking to appoint an experienced, confident and nurturing individual who is willing to make a difference by supporting our pupils to become positive, proactive and independent learners. We are looking for a real team player who can be flexible and adaptable and who is willing to work together to ensure the children's social, emotional and well-being needs remain a priority because we believe happy and confident children are always ready to learn. The successful candidate will also be willing to undertake medical training and provide medical assistance to pupils in the cohort. The position is for 26hrs 40mins hours per week across 5 days.

- have a good knowledge of the KS2 curriculum requirements with good oracy, literacy and maths skills;
