About the role

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic individual to join our hardworking and dedicated teaching team to cover maternity leave starting in the Summer Term 2025 and to extend to a permanent position following this.

At Little Green Junior School we work hard as a team to ensure we are doing everything we reasonably can for our community. We recognise that staff wellbeing is student wellbeing is community wellbeing. This means we work hard to consider staff workload and support for our dedicated staff. This includes flexible PPA from home; careful reflection of systems to ensure they are efficient and effective; and an ongoing focus on quality CPD and development to ensure all our staff have the opportunity to flourish in their careers: Twelve of our teachers have or will have NPQs by the end of this year.

Little Green also prides itself on being research leading and led. This includes:

 - Whole Class Feedback and Highlighter Marking to promote independent learning

 - Whole Class Guided Reading

- Adaptive classroom promoting mastery approaches to learning and avoiding unnecessary and unevidenced differentiated approaches. We are proud to promote academic achievement (above County and national) whilst driving an inclusive approach to community and education.

- Maths Mastery supported and driven throughout the school

 - A belief and drive to teach a holistic curriculum recognising all children have the right to experience the whole depth of curriculum alongside the right to develop core Reading, Writing and Mathematics Skills.

- Being trial schools for research into teaching primary science and, most recently, being selected to trial an innovative and brilliant approach to measuring and supporting metacognitive learning.
