About the role
Contract: 32.5 hours per week, Permanent contract
Grade: HB
Hours: 32.5 hours per week, 7:30 am to 2:30 pm from Monday to Friday (including a 30-minute unpaid lunch break), Term time only
Salary: £17,893 per annum inclusive of outer fringe allowance Start Date: As soon as possible - subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks
Main Areas of Responsibility
To keep all kitchen equipment and surroundings areas clean to the required standard
To wash up all cooking equipment in a timely manner; to keep all wash-up areas clean and clear especially at service times
To operate dishwashers
To perform detail cleaning of all heavy-duty cooking equipment, eg ovens, fryers, brat pans etc
To keep stock rooms clean and tidy; to put stock away properly including stock rotation and using correct manual handling procedure
To perform sweeping and mopping of the kitchen floor
To empty bins
To maintain high standards of food hygiene and cleanliness; to ensure all Health and Safety standards are met
To work under the instructions of the Catering Manager, Chefs and Kitchen Supervisor
To have a flexible approach to your work that fits in with the requirements of the school kitchen
