About the role

We are looking to appoint a friendly and caring HLTA to join our supportive and friendly team working across all year groups.  

This role will involve the HLTA working with class teachers to support learning.  You will be teaching in class to release teachers for planning, preparation and assessment, short term illness or to attend meetings. Please be aware that previous experience of covering classes is essential.

The post is 33.5 hours per week Monday – Friday 8.30am-4.00pm plus one hour per week to attend a staff meeting - term time plus 5 inset days. 

The successful candidate will hold a HLTA status, or equivalent, (though we will be considering unqualified HLTAs) and will need to be enthusiastic, energetic and dedicated to making a difference to children's learning. You will need to enjoy working with children and be passionate and committed to helping children develop as independent and confident individuals.

You will need to have a GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths and a high standard of written and spoken English
