About the role:

We are seeking a passionate, personable, and driven Higher Level Teaching Assistant / Unqualified Teacher (HLTA/UQT) to join our friendly and forward-thinking school. In this role, you will:

  • Lead small group interventions to support pupil progress.
  • Cover whole classes as required, teaching planned lessons and providing verbal and written feedback.
  • Foster a positive classroom environment, supporting individual pupils and groups of varying abilities.
  • Play a pivotal role in accelerating learning and contributing to the school’s overall success.

This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated individual who is committed to making a difference in the lives of pupils. With a minimum of 5 hours per week as an Unqualified Teacher, you will also gain valuable classroom leadership experience.

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience working with children in a school setting, ideally including those with special educational needs.
  • A team player who can also work flexibly with individuals, small groups and whole classes.
  • Strong communication and behaviour management skills, with a commitment to fostering high aspirations for all pupils.
  • Minimum GCSE qualifications in English and Maths and a willingness to develop strong curriculum subject knowledge.
