Stevenage ESC is currently recruiting for a HLTA to work with KS3 and KS4 pupils.

Stevenage Education Support Centre has been rated Outstanding by Ofsted in May 2024. We are a provider of educational programmes to support students who are at risk of permanent exclusion or who have been permanently excluded from their mainstream school. The Centre’s vision is to inspire and enable all students to achieve their full potential.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Educational Support Centre (ESC). We are currently seeking a motivated and organised individual to join our enthusiastic and friendly team, which is dedicated to fostering a supportive environment for our students.

We value individuals who are self-motivated, well-organised, and demonstrate a strong ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. The nature of our work often requires the ability to perform under pressure, particularly during peak times in the school year. Therefore, resilience and a sense of humour are important traits we seek in our candidates.

In this role, the ability to work on your own initiative, whilst embodying a confident, empathetic, and positive character, will be essential. You will find yourself amid a team of inspirational educators who put children at the heart of everything they do, ensuring a fulfilling and impactful work environment.

Our school is firmly committed to safeguarding the children and young people in our care. As such, all post holders will be required to undergo a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check prior to commencement of role.

Should you require any further information, or if you wish to arrange a visit to the Centre, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Job Description and Person specification are attached.

Applications should be received no later than midday on Friday 10th January 2025.

Interviews will be held on Friday 17th January 2025.

Start date will be asap afterwards, subject to completion of satisfactory pre-employment checks.
