About the role
Could you lead a school where every child is inspired to aim high and love learning?
Reedings Junior School, nestled in the vibrant community of Sawbridgeworth, Hertfordshire, is a place where children flourish. With spacious grounds, featuring well-equipped play areas and excellent facilities, we create an environment where pupils can explore, grow, and thrive. Our mission is simple: “Aiming high together” - fostering confident, curious, and resilient learners ready for the challenges ahead.
As Headteacher, you will join a warm, inclusive school where well-being and academic success go hand in hand. You will work with talented staff, enthusiastic pupils, and a supportive community committed to delivering a rich, engaging curriculum that excites and challenges.
We are seeking a special individual with senior leadership experience, an existing Headteacher or a Deputy Headteacher ready to take the leap to headship.
You will:
- Provide visionary leadership, shaping Reedings’ future while building on its strong foundations.
- Inspire staff, pupils, and families, fostering collaboration and trust.
- Lead high-quality teaching, drive academic excellence, and maintain a nurturing culture where well-being comes first.
- Strengthen partnerships with parents, governors, and local schools.
What you will receive:
- The chance to lead a thriving school in a welcoming, well-connected community.
- A collaborative, supportive environment with skilled staff and engaged families.
- Professional development through the HFL Education New to Headship programme and mentorship.
