High Wych Primary School is located on the outskirts of Sawbridgeworth in East Herts. Situated in a beautiful (but easily accessible) rural setting, the school caters for almost 230 children aged 3 to 11. We are committed to being a caring, inclusive Christian school and our dedicated staff team want every pupil to learn in a supportive environment full of excitement and fun.

Our New Headteacher

After 21 years of successful leadership, we are bidding farewell to our Headteacher who is retiring. As a result, we are looking for an inspiring and dynamic leader who can steer the school into the future

You will bring:

  • Confident leadership skills with the ability to inspire and articulate a clear vision for the school.
  • Commercial acumen to navigate challenges, overcome obstacles and drive positive change.
  • Strong communication skills to foster an open dialogue throughout the school and wider community, enabling effective collaboration and cooperation.
  • Entrepreneurial flair with the ability to find new ways to improve the school's offering.
  • Tremendous energy when embracing new challenges and opportunities.
  • Distinctive experience – or fresh ideas – of leading a Church school.
  • Excellent organisational skills to manage school operations and resources efficiently.
  • A whole-school approach to decision-making, ensuring effective engagement with staff, pupils, parents and governors.
  • Dedication to fostering a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment for all.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and innovation in teaching and learning.
  • Sound knowledge of educational policies, procedures and regulations.
  • A desire to conserve and enhance connections within our community, fostering growth, collaboration and a shared sense of pride in our school.
