About the role
Chambersbury primary school are looking for a Governor to join our Governing Body.
Although it is a voluntary role you will be part of a friendly and supportive team of governors (and staff) who contribute greatly to the continued growth and success of the school. Full training and support will be provided therefore no previous knowledge of how an educational setting is organised is required. In fact, coming from another sector or business can only strengthen our Governing Body. It is a motivating, varied and valued role.
Governors are vital to the smooth running of the school and they ensure that the vision is clearly followed. The group holds the headteacher to account in relation to the academic progress of the school and performance management of the staff team. Governors also oversee the finances of the school and carry out key health and safety functions relating to all aspects of school life.
Our meetings are held in the evenings and are currently a mixture of face to face and online. Training is often held online in the evenings or weekends.
