About the role
We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join our leadership and teaching team to lead our EYFS staff and children in exciting teaching and learning. This role is well suited to an experienced Early Years Teacher who is looking to take the next step into leadership or an individual with experience leading the EYFS.
The EYFS Team Leader responsibilities include:
- Being part of the school’s Senior Leadership Team
- Development, application and review of a bespoke EYFS curriculum
- Using initiative and leadership to enhance and raise standards within the EYFS
- Building effective partnerships with stakeholders, including parents and governors
- Coordinating the resources for teaching and learning within the EYFS
- Monitoring EYFS behaviour of children
- Monitoring EYFS curriculum planning
- Deploying EYFS staff effectively within staff rotas
- Leading EYFS Assemblies
- Tracking progress and attainment of children and arranging any appropriate interventions
- Providing support and guidance for the EYFS Team
- Line managing EYFS support staff appraisals
- Attending meetings and leading staff CPD as appropriate
- Desirable: Read Write Inc Phonics Lead Teacher role

- Qualified Teacher Status
- successful experience of teaching within the EYFS curriculum
- a strong knowledge of the teaching of Early Reading

The post is offered on a fixed term contract of one year in the first instance to start September 2025. The selection process will be carried out by interview.
