About the role

Goldfield Infants’ and Nursery School are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, friendly, and motivated Early Years Teaching Assistant to join our team. The job would be for 3 days- Wednesday, Thursday & Friday. 

We are a friendly and nurturing team that provides an environment that allows children's early education to flourish. We believe that every day should be a fun learning day and that learning is all around us. The Nursery Team ensure that every child has the best possible start in life to fulfil their potential and to ensure that there is continuity and progression. Every adult in Early Years is a key worker and will be responsible for a child’s wellbeing and development. Our Nursery are fully involved with the life of the school.

We are looking for a caring and enthusiastic Early Years Teaching Assistant to work in our Nursery and enhance our team. We welcome applications from candidates of all levels of qualification and/or experience, however applicants with a suitable level 3 childcare qualification are particularly welcome.

The successful candidate will have experience of supporting teaching and learning in the classroom leading intervention strategies and working with individual pupils (although this is not necessary). If you have a passion for supporting children, an ability to inspire and enthuse a range of children and believe that every child has an ability to achieve, this is the job for you. 

We are looking for someone who will be the perfect fit for our school – someone caring with a willingness to learn and improve.  We offer CPD opportunities; supportive and caring staff and governors; well behaved children and all within a friendly creative environment.

The successful candidate(s) will be encouraged to participate in the training opportunities offered.  Salary will depend on the level of qualifications and/or experience offered, but will sit on the H1-H3 pay range, £23,656 – 25,183 (full time) paid pro-rata for term time only working. Part time would be 18.75 hours.

There is scope for this role to evolve over time for a suitable person. We reserve the right to close this vacancy early if we receive sufficient applications before the closing date.
