Experienced Teaching Assistant

About the role

We are seeking to appoint two enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to start asap.  The role is for 37 hours per week, term time only and will be paid at H4 pro rata or a H5 pro rata dependant on experience.

One of the roles require the Teaching Assistant to complement our work with students in our English and Maths department, helping to drive up standards of Reading and Numeracy within our forward thinking school. The vacancy have arisen because our drive to ‘catch up’ on missed prior learning. 

The 2nd Teaching Assistant is required in our Food Tech department primarily (3 days) and the remaining days will be used around school. Flexibility will be a key factor and a basic knowledge of cooking skills is desirable but not essential.

This is an excellent opportunity for the right person who is; student-centered, professional, purposeful and kind to get good experience in a school such as ours and who may have aspirations on becoming a teacher within a SEMH setting.

Our latest student achievement data analysis shows we have a very strong basis on which to build upon.  Teaching and Learning across the school is at least ‘good’.  We now need to see this translated into even better outcomes for our students.
