About the role

We are looking appoint additional Exam Invigilators to join our existing team to assist our Exams Officer with the supervision of public exams.  Candidates must have the ability to remain calm under pressure, be flexible and adaptable and be confident in both verbal and written communication skills as the role may include supporting students with reading, scribing and language access arrangements.

The exam period runs from May until June, with other assessments throughout the year.  It is essential that you are available throughout the May and June exam period.  No experience is necessary, as full training will be provided.  This is a term time only, variable hours contract.

About the School

Townsend is a relatively small and very friendly school with a great atmosphere with circa 769 on roll including a Sixth Form. Townsend is rated good by Ofsted in all areas and outstanding in our SIAMS inspection report. 

Townsend Church of England School is situated on a large, green site between St Albans and Harpenden, and welcomes applicants from families of all faiths and of no faith. Children who attend Townsend live in St Albans and Harpenden, as well as other towns in Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire, including Welwyn Garden City, Hemel Hempstead and Luton.
