About the role
Westmill Nursery is seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Years Practitioner to join the team. As a Practitioner/keyperson, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality childcare and early education for young children in a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment. You will be responsible for creating engaging activities, supporting children's social and academic development, and ensuring each child's well-being and happiness.
The role is for 3-4 days a week, 9am to 2.30pm (days to be confirmed).
Duties include:
- Develop and implement age-appropriate activities to stimulate children's cognitive, social, and emotional growth.
- Provide a safe and supportive learning environment that promotes exploration, creativity, and curiosity.
- Promote positive relationships with keychildren children, parents, and staff team through effective communication and collaboration.
- Monitor and assess key children's progress, identifying areas for improvement and implementing .
Experience:
- Previous experience working with young children in a childcare or educational setting.
- The candidate must hold a Level 2 or above qualification in Childcare or the Early Years.

Westmill Nursery is a term time only setting operating in a small village hall in Westmill, Nr Buntingford. Our session times are 9.20am to 2.20pm Monday to Thursday, and until 1.20pm on Fridays.
