Early Years Assistant - Nursery SEND Provision

Apply for this job

About the role

We would like to recruit an enthusiastic Early Years Assistant to join our dedicated and professional staff from October 2024, initially on a fixed term contract until July 2025. We are looking for an individual who has experience of working with young children with additional needs and be committed to ensuring that every child is supported to reach their full potential. An appropriate level 2/3 Early Years Childcare Qualification is desirable but not essential.

You will be working in our Rainbow provision, a smaller room attached to the main nursery. This room is calmer, quieter, with less distractions and resources which are tailored to the needs of the children. Our Rainbow provision strives to accommodate all children through our inclusive curriculum. We provide a caring and nurturing environment to ensure all children have a sense of belonging and are given the opportunity to be the best they can be. Our Rainbow group is a calm and welcoming provision which reduces distressed behaviour for our neuro diverse children.

This is an excellent opportunity to work in a Nursery School and Pre-school that has been judged outstanding by Ofsted. Arlesdene is committed to developing the knowledge and skills of all their staff through coaching and professional development.

You will be working on a part time basis 16 hours & 15 minutes per week, 38 weeks a year (term time only). Monday to Friday 12.15pm to 3.30pm
