About the role
Redbourn Park is a school for children with a primary need of autism, but also have other complex needs. Most notable, this includes anxiety, and demand avoidance but every child is very different and has had a complex and challenge school experience, requiring a huge amount of support, care and when ready, expert teaching.
We opened in 2021 and opened our second site this year. We have a third site planned which will take our age range from 7-14 to 7-16, bringing in exams and qualifications. Our capacity is currently 24 and a third site will take this to around 40.
We have an excellent team, with a widely varied amount fo experience. What really stands out and makes a role at redbourn park work is being a really good person and having a huge amount of empathy and care for those you work with.
A big part of this role will be focusing on the quality of education. With ranges of experience in support staff and many teachers working up from being a TA, to teacher apprentice and then qualified teacher, developing them, their practice and the wider program has been key and we hope that this role will substantially bolster that.
