About the role

Are you an experienced teacher looking for a fresh challenge, or an Early Career Teacher seeking the perfect spot for your first teaching post? If so, we’d love to hear from you!

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, highly motivated and creative class teacher to join our wonderful team from September 2025.

The post is full time or we would also be happy to hear from candidates wishing to work a 0.8 contract (4 days).   We are open to appointing a teacher for either KS1 or KS2, depending on experience and preference.

We invite applications from experienced or Early Career Teachers. ECTs will be well supported and receive a full induction programme. We also have a strong track record of supporting teachers’ ongoing professional development and career aspirations, including middle leader opportunities, NPQs and other qualifications or accreditations.

St Ippolyts CE Primary School is a successful, happy school in a beautiful rural location on the outskirts of Hitchin, enjoying strong partnerships with the local community and other schools.  We work hard, are very committed and our fabulous children love to learn and have fun.

At St Ippolyts, we are deeply committed to the well-being of our entire school community, including ensuring a positive and healthy work-life balance for our staff.

As a Church of England VA school, we seek a candidate who will actively support and promote our ethos, which is rooted in Christian values.

The best way to find out more is by seeing us in action; visits are encouraged – please telephone the office for details.

In the meantime, take a look at our website to get a flavour of what we’re all about: www.stipps.herts.sch.uk or see our school Facebook page.
