About the role

At Aycliffe Drive Primary School our target is to support everyone to embrace best practice and develop their teaching skills, whilst motivating learners. 

We are looking to appoint a full-time teacher to join our Lower Key Stage 2 team, someone who loves teaching, learning new things and wants to make a difference. The post is maternity cover to start on 6th January 2025 and we anticipate that this will be for two terms, with potential to extend further. 

We are looking for a teacher who:  

  • is able to raise and sustain high standards; 

  • an innovative and creative practitioner with a drive and passion to ensure all students achieve; 

  • an ability to plan learning for a range of students with differing needs and abilities; 

  • Have effective assessment procedures to embed understanding and further learning;  

  • excellent communication and organisational skills;  

  • good knowledge and understanding of the primary curriculum and how young children learn; 

  • experience of working collaboratively within a team of people to provide a stimulating learning environment;  

  • the ability to share expertise, knowledge and understanding of young children’s needs and achievements with parents and staff
