About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic, hard working person with high expectations of themselves and others to join our school as a Casual Teaching Assistant.

The role would be to work on a 1:1 basis with a SEN child, with small groups or a class of children from Nursery to Key Stage 2, depending on requirements.

The position is offered on a variable hours’ contract at H3 with an hourly rate of £12.85. Any work will be offered in school and term time only.

We are looking for a teaching assistant who:

  • has knowledge of the primary curriculum,
  • has high expectations of achievement and behaviour,
  • has good numeracy and literacy skills (GCSE grade C or equivalent in English and Maths is desirable),
  • has experience of working with children with SEND (desirable),
  • can confidently communicate with parents, carers and class teachers; and
  • understands and embraces the school's ethos.
