About the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic, hard working person with high expectations of themselves and others to join our school as a Casual Teaching Assistant.
The role would be to work in the Nursery, Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2 on a 1:1 basis with a child, with small groups or a class of children, depending on requirements.
The position is offered on a variable hours’ contract at H3 with an hourly rate of £12.18. Any work will be offered in school and term time only.
We are looking for a teaching assistant who:
- has knowledge of the primary curriculum,
- has high expectations of achievement and behaviour,
- has good numeracy and literacy skills (GCSE grade C or equivalent in English and Maths is desirable),
- has experience of working with children with SEND (desirable),
- can confidently communicate with parents, carers and class teachers; and
- understands and embraces the school's ethos.

The selection process for shortlisted candidates will be an interview and task(s).
