About the role
Fearnhill School is seeking to appoint a dedicated attendance improvement officer to join our hardworking, friendly and committed team.
Key essentials of the role will be to improve student attendance to include
- Daily oversight of all attendance, absence and lateness
- Monitor and track attendance across the school, including identifying students who are of concern
- Support parents with attendance strategies (this may include home visits to support positive attendance)
- Carry out parent contact meetings where students are persistently absent
- attend relevant meetings regarding the wellbeing of specific students
Candidates must have good communication skills, a commitment to providing excellent support, experience with supporting children and families, as well as good IT skills and the ability to use various software applications. Experience of using Arbor would be an advantage but not essential.
