Associate Assistant Headteacher - SENDCo

Full Time - Leadership Pay-Scale 8 - 11 plus Outer Fringe Allowance

Required from:  January 2025 or earlier

The Governors wish to seek and appoint an ambitious leader with the vision and expertise to work as part of the Senior Leadership Team to move RBA to ‘outstanding’ within the next five years.  Due to promotion, we are seeking a leader with energy, enthusiasm and character to enthuse staff and students through the next stages of the academy’s development. Applications are welcome from experienced SENDCos, someone who is currently a Deputy SENDCo or an experienced teacher ready for the next step. Full training will be provided, including the NPQ SEND, if the candidate does not currently hold the NASENDCo.

 

We have a genuine passion and excitement about how students learn and how teachers teach, led by evidence-based research. This role presents an exciting opportunity for somebody to join our team and support our progress by leading and shaping the SEND development of the school.

Robert Barclay Academy is an 11-18 mixed comprehensive with an expanding roll.  We have also recently moved to becoming an Apple School where each child and staff have an Apple iPad device. Staff are committed to providing a stimulating curriculum for all students as well as an engaging programme of extra-curricular activities. RBA offers excellent support and a professional development programme for all staff.
