About the role
Receptionist/Administrative Assistant
We are looking for a positive and upbeat person who has excellent interpersonal skills to work in our busy school office.
You will:
- be the 'outward face' of the school - the first person that children, parents and visitors meet and talk to at the counter and on the telephone
- need to be friendly, efficient and confidential
- need to be a team player, prepared to undertake a wide range of duties as required in our busy school office, but specifically taking lead on managing the administration of the breakfast and after-school clubs, the afternoon attendance, parent communication and a range of administrative duties, including filing, copying, etc. as required.
You will need to be computer-literate and willing to learn a range of systems including Arbor, databases and the Microsoft Office suite of programmes.
In exchange we can offer:
- lovely children
- a strong, supportive team in the office and the wider school
- training as needed.
We are looking for someone who is able to work from 12.30am-3.30pm, Monday to Friday term-time only.
Actual pro-rata salary will be £7,708 (£22,737 full time equivalent)
The successful candidate will be one of the first points of contact in the school and it is essential that they can provide a warm and friendly welcome to everyone. Being bright and cheerful, as well as resilient, with a good sense of humour is essential. It is also important to work accurately, under your own initiative and under pressure at busy times.
We warmly welcome visits from applicants. The best way to find out about us and the position available is to come and meet us!
If you would like an informal chat about the role, or have any questions, please feel free to telephone Nadine Grainger, our School Business Manager.
