About the role

We are looking for an Administrative Assistant with a professional, calm and friendly approach to work in our fantastic school office.

The post is for 14.5 hours per week (2 full days to be confirmed), term – time only.

Working in a busy office environment, you will need excellent communication skills, the ability to be flexible and to be able to use your initiative. 

The main duties for this post include, assisting the Administrator with aspects of the school’s finances, including inputting data into the school’s finance system. (Necessary training will be provided and there may be the opportunity to expand the role in the future), maintaining the attendance register, collating dinner figures, handling correspondence including emails, ordering and stocktaking, maintaining the school’s website and social media output (desirable), arranging clubs, school trips and in-house events, filing and photocopying, in addition to a wide range of general office duties, enter income and expenditure on the finance system for both general and fund accounts and reconcile bank statements on a monthly basis.

Applicants should have good numeracy, literacy and computer skills, be a proficient typist and have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. Experience of Arbor is desirable, but not essential as training will be provided. Experience of working in a very busy school office environment is desirable.
