About the role
We require a reliable and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to work one to one with a named child for as long as they remain in school with a diagnosis of Autism and ADHD.
The successful candidate will have responsibility for some 1:1 and small group activities under the supervision of the class teacher in liaison with the SENCO. We expect all staff to maintain the high standards of behaviour and classroom management alongside the teacher as well as to support the social and emotional needs of the children. The ideal candidate should have an NVQ 2 or 3, or equivalent, in a relevant subject or be willing to work towards this and have GCSEs Grade C or above in English and Maths .
The job is initially for 8.40-12 plus at least 3 lunches 12.15-1.15, term time only. There may also be additional hours available every afternoon 1.15-3, please contact us to discuss further.
Pay scale will be H2 for Teaching Assistant hours and HB for Mid-day supervisor hours.
