About the role

Are you interested in supporting children to develop a positive sense of self and the skills for lifelong learning? At Bernards Heath that is our aim for every child. We are looking for soemone to join our team and make a differnce every day.

This role is working 1:1 with a child following a personalised timetable inside and outside of the main classroom from 1pm - 3.20pm Monday to Friday term time only. 

The successful candidate will:

* understand all behaviour is communication and will have a therapeutic approach to responding to behaviour  

* have a knowldge of trauma and the impact adverse childhood experiences can have on feelings and behaviour

* have a knoeledge of attachment styles and appropriate strategies for working with children with disorganised attachment 

* know the value of working in partnership with parents  

* act on feedback and ask questions

* be able to demonstrate inititive and resilience

* have a positive attitude and a willingness to learn
