About the role
Our learning support assistants make all the difference to our children and our teachers. Do you have the skills to join us? We are looking for a caring and supportive individual who will work with our teachers and SENCo to support learning and address the needs of children who need additional support.
Jenyns First School and Nursery requires a 1:1 Learning Support Assistant commencing September 2024. The role includes general teaching assistant duties in early years to year 4 and to assist in the support of pupils with special educational needs, including behavioural, social, communication, sensory or physical disabilities. Applicants will need to have experience of working with children of the relevant age, with good numeracy and literacy skills and an understanding of the curricular requirements of the school, these to include statutory requirements.
The hours will be from 1.00 p.m. until 3.30 p.m. every day term time only, however, the vacancy could also be part of a full-time role alongside our Class Teaching Assistant vacancy.
