Description
Welcome to Shephalbury Park Primary School, where we are extremely proud of all of our Shephalbury learners!
Shephalbury Park is a special place, where creativity, challenge and enjoyment are at the very core of everything we do. We have a strong culture of learning throughout the school, which is promoted through our Shephalbury LEARNER attributes. These attributes are woven throughout our school from the outset in Nursery, through play, all the way through the year groups to Year 6, through their academic learning, and into our staff team and wider community.
We very much promote the power of ‘yet’, encouraging our learners, and wider community, to have a growth mind-set in all that they do. This is very tangible in all of our classes, where our staff actively model these behaviours, with learners taking control of their own learning in a pro-active manner, challenging themselves and learning from their mistakes.
Our school has been well recognised, by Ofsted (October 2022) and within Hertfordshire, for the outstanding provision that we provide for our learners’ personal development, behaviour and attitudes. Our quality of education and inclusive practices have also been validated as a real strength, and we are regularly asked to share our good practice with other schools across the county.
We provide lots of curricular and extra-curricular enrichment opportunities across the school. Whether it be visiting the local shops in EYFS, performing at the Royal Albert Hall or competing in a benchball tournament, our learners are provided with a wide range of experiences that richly supplement our curriculum offer.
We build strong relationships with all of our learners and their families, where trust, understanding and support form the basis of a shared responsibility to prepare our Shephalbury learners to be responsible and successful citizens in an ever-changing society.
I am incredibly proud to be the Headteacher at Shephalbury Park, and together with our highly committed team of teachers, support staff and governors, we have developed a strong vision for continual school improvement and development. Our staff are dynamic and deeply dedicated to providing each individual learner with a consistently high standard of learning and teaching, where we recognise, appreciate and celebrate our school community’s achievement and successes.
I hope you enjoy looking at our website, I would be delighted to welcome you to come and see us all in action, if you would like to do so, please feel free to phone the school and make an appointment.
